Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Oh yes, things they are a changin', which is partly the reason for the lack of posts lately. I am having my website re-done by a pro, this blog is getting a makeover (hopefully also by said pro!), my packaging is getting a makeover, almost everything is changing around here! Please be patient while I renovate, I am trying to streamline things so that everything is much cleaner, easier to navigate and (of course!) purchase from my various stores. While I want my blog redone by a professional, I am tweaking things myself to see what I like, what works, what doesn't. You'll notice first of all that I am getting rid of Project Wonderful. While I think it is a great idea, I am sick of having to reject the pornographic-site idiots that insist on trying to advertise here, even though I have made it VERY clear that this site is to be (as much as possible) ALL AGES. NO PORN, thank you very much! So I am going to offer advertising privately on my blog, starting at just $1/month. Yes, you read that correctly, just $1. I think it will be a bit cleaner-looking, and I know that anyone with a spam or porno site sending me emails will get blocked by my spam filter, so everyone wins :)

I also have some REALLY cool news in the realm of personal fitness which I'll try to share in the next few days as well.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, comments, suggestions or applause, please let me know, I want to make everything easy for you to move around in :)
Have a great weekend!

I Am Taking the Chatelaine Fresh Start Contest! And Other News

Ok, Ok, before I get to that, some of you asked for some wedding photos so here is one - I have to go slowly, lol. Thank you all SO much for your congratulations and well wishes, you made us smile with each comment.

Also, praise God, all of those miners are either out of the mine, or are on their way out right now in Chile. Praise to the rescue workers and God be with the miners and their families as they recover from such a scary ordeal.

Now for the Chatelaine contest - I have blogged in the past about trying to exercise regularly, and usually I do it, but here is a cool incentive, in a contest from Chatelaine, called the Fresh Start Contest. Basically, you make a pledge, sign up on their site and then follow through with emails each day from them filled with encouragement. There will be prizes and I hope I win!

After just getting married I realized that it isn't just for me that I need to be healthy and exercise - I need to be healthy to support my husband too, so that we can have a happy, healthy marriage for "as long as we both shall live". Therefore, I am pledging to exercise at least 3-5 times per week and I will post (pinky swear) each time I do. My page is here: http://freshstart.chatelaine.com/entry/3318699

Today I spent about an hour shoveling and moving large wheelbarrow loads of soil around my yard. That was hard! Later on I will be doing about 40 minutes of yoga to make sure I'm not too sore from all the soil-moving. Yay! I did it! You can sign up too, and make all sorts of pledges at Chatelaine's website at: http://freshstart.chatelaine.com/home

What's your pledge?

Have a great day!

Sweet Saturday: New Earrings!

FINALLY I get to show you my new earring line (well, one pair of them anyway!). I am making Swarovski Pearl Birth Month Earrings with a color for each month! This particular pair is for March (usually aquamarine), using a light blue Swarovski pearl for the top bead, and a cream drop for the bottom. All the birth month earrings will have their month's color for the top, and a cream bead for the bottom so that they go with everything. You can see them here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/49252738/swarovski-pearl-birth-month-earringsThese ones were made with sterling silver, but I can also make them in 14Karat gold-filled wire on request.
About 2 inches (5cm) from top to bottom, these are stylish and versatile!

I'm also starting to redo all of my jewelry photos, so if the photos in my Etsy store look a little odd, with photos having all different backgrounds, that would be why. I'm changing to all white for clarity and to keep everything consistent and clean-looking :)
Thanks for visiting, see you soon!

Sweet Saturday: At Work in Style

Spring is approaching and many of us (myself included!) are looking for a way to brighten things up at home and work. Here is a great way to stay in style while keeping your work happy with its own protocol. Many employees have to wear ID badges of some kind, so why not make yours stand out from the crowd with a beaded ID Badge Holder, such as this one? long enough to easily slip over your head, yet short enough to not get in the way, this is done with some beautiful pink rhodonite beads, spaced with Czech glass firepolish beads (that means a little bit of stylish sparkle without being inappropriate for work) and Czech glass clear, silver-lined seed beads for neutrality. There is a simple nickel clip at the bottom to hold your badge or ID.

This is a great way to bring a little individuality to your workday! On sale now in my Etsy shop.

Arwendnesdays: Outtakes

With me being such a super star, it is no wonder we have many, many photos of my gorgeous self. What is odd, is that there are so many bloopers! I never thought mommy could get a bad photo of me, but there it is: we have some, and we thought we'd share them. The above shot is from mommy trying to get photos of me asleep on her bed. I had been very still but a bird flew by the window, chirping at a squirrel at one of our bird feeders. Needless to say, I wasn't sleeping after that! You can see me opening my eyes REALLY wide - so wide the white shows all around! I promptly got up and barked at the squirrel. It ran. I was proud.
Here mommy was getting photos of me playing with my crab. One of my favorite things to do is to flip onto my back and pretend that my toys are attacking me. Unfortunately the crab decided to cover my face in this shot and it looks like the crab is getting the upper hand..er..claw, rah rooh!
Here is mommy's favorite blooper to date. Daddy was taking photos of me opening my Christmas presents and when I talked a thank you (rah roooh roooh is the correct term), I tilted my head up in the air, and daddy got the shot...right up my nose! Unfortunately it isn't in focus..or, well, the background is, because daddy doesn't know how to use mommy's camera yet. Rah rooh!

We hope you enjoyed our bloopers, remember to enter the contest over at Fireseed.ca to try to win one of four fabulous prizes.

Have a great day!

Merry Christmas: A Bit of A Break...

Arwen and I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season, whether it is Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or others.

I've been having some health issues, and combined with the Christmas rush, it has made me rather negligent with my blogs. Arwen and I are going to take a little break and when we come back, we'll have many new posts and (hopefully) interesting stories for you.

So be happy, stay safe and healthy, and we'll see you very soon!

Tuesday's Treasures: New Mod Dangle Earrings!

Here is the latest addition to my Etsy shop, just for you! These are the "So Mod Silver Curved Dangle Earrings". I took custom made sterling silver earwires (to prevent allergic reactions) and from them I suspended 3 silver plate rings which each hold a silver plated curved tube bead. I placed a silver plate round bead on either end of the tubes and made sure that they hung facing towards each other, and in mirror image to the other earring (every little detail counts!). All in all, these are pretty, mod, and super-cool!

Available in My Etsy store, along with many other unique and beautiful pieces, perfect for keeping or giving away.

Have a great Tuesday,

Sweet Saturday: Playing in the Snow

As the Official Doggy Blogger for this blog, I am taking over today as mommy writes the grocery list...hey mommy?? Don't forget the treats for my pawesome self! Now, as part Husky, and all Wonder Dog, you should know that I love the snow...come on mommy! Play in the snow with me!
Here I am, trying to chase the snow under mommy's feet. She always laughs really hard at this, because I try to dig at the snow under her shoes and boots quite furiously. I do, however, like it best when people throw snowballs up into the air for me to run after and catch with my teeth. Too bad this snow wasn't warm enough...when mommy tried to make snowballs, it just stayed as powder.
I love the snow so much I get covered in it as much as possible before coming back inside! Mommy stayed at the back door to take most of these photos, as we were having a big snow storm and it was very cold and windy (to her at least, I felt nothing in my thick, beautiful, shining furs!).
Another thing I like to do is stick my head in the snow. I like to stick it right down to try and sniff any moles, voles, mice, squirrels, or anything else that might be hidden under there. I sometimes bury my head right down until it is covered by the snow! Then I jerk my head up and stand on three legs. Here you can see I was eating some snow, as is evidenced by my snowy beard. Never fear! I'm still a girl! I just like getting covered in snow, rah rooh!
Here mommy caught me with a face full of snow. Sometimes, if the snow is warm enough, I get a little snow ball stuck on the tip of my nose, which never fails to put mommy into hysterics. I don't see what the big deal is, I'm just playing!

I hope you have a fun Saturday, but as for me, I am off to run around some more in the snow!

Fabulous Friday: New Bracelet!

Wow, where did Thursday go? I know I was busy cleaning the house and doing yet more holiday baking, but to miss a blog post?? I'm very sorry! I was also working on this beautiful new Viking Weave bracelet...maybe that is where the time went.
I do apologize for the rather crummy photos, but I will have this listed with better photos very soon. I used a beautiful round lamp work glass bead by my favorite glass artist, Louise Ingram of Fireseed. I wanted to complement the 15 feet of sterling silver wire that I carefully wove into this gorgeous Viking weave bracelet, and this big, heavy bead was the perfect match. It does make the bracelet a little top heavy, but it will be perfect for someone who likes to play with their jewelry when it is on...like me! Okay, I will list this for sale, but I do like it an awful lot...
I also hand forged a sterling silver "S" clasp and attached two silver plate jump rings to attach it. All in all, this is a soft, heavy, gorgeous piece and I hope you like it. I can't wait for it to find its forever home :)

Have a great Friday,
